Why Read the Bible?
The Bible is not just a book to read but as God’s revealed word to us, is meant to be studied and applied. Ignoring it is like disregarding the law of gravity, to our own detriment. The Bible is as important to our lives as the laws of nature. When we study it diligently, it is like mining for gold, and the more effort we put in, the greater the rewards.
We should read and study the Bible because it is God’s Word to us. The Bible is literally “God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16). In other words, it is God’s very words to us.
YouVersion Bible App
While we love our printed Bibles, FCCnac has utilized a free to download app called YouVersion Bible App. Downloading the app is simple and available for any smart phone. Once downloaded, the app offers many reading plans that will help you develop a heart of daily Bible reading.
Set FCCnac as My Church
FCCnac has its own page that members may join. This allows us to send you short messages such as reading plans we are promoting. To add FCCnac use this link to add us as MyChurch.
Bible in One Year
Many FCCnac members have committed to reading through the Bible in one year. The great benefit YouVersion offers is that we can read together, encouraging each other by offering comments or questions about the day’s reading. We are currently using the plan Bible in One Year 2023 with Nicky Gumbel. If you are interested in joining us, click this link to be added to the FCCnac Bible in One Year plan.
